Fernan Lake is a great lake for paddling and fishing It is located just east of Interstate 90 in the Bitterroot Range.

There are two public boat launches, at the east and west ends of the lake. Shoreline access can be found in these areas around the docks and along the roadside on the northwest side of the lake.

There’s great hiking while at the lake, choose from the local Caribou Ridge National Recreation Trail, English Point National Recreation Trail, or Leiberg-Athol Trail.

Enjoy more outdoor activities by visiting nearby Silver Beach, Sanders Beach, Fernan Creek, Bennett Bay, Stacel Draw, or catch the view of Fernan Hill right on the lake. 

Coeur d’Alene is a short trip away with plenty of golf, shopping and dining.
