This River begins at the outlet of Coeur d’Alene Lake and empties 111 miles downstream in Washington.

The surface area of the river is approx 2,124ft.

Spokane River supports a variety of recreational uses such as swimming, skiing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, picnicking, bird watching, and camping.

The Spokane Centennial Trail is 37 miles long and runs alongside the river beginning at the Idaho state line and ending at Nine Miles Falls, WA. It is a paved trail that attracts many bikers, walkers, joggers, and runners. This trail provides visitors with a great outdoor experience.

Rafting down the river is a popular activity; choose from two different trips, ranging from Class II to Class III. Row Adventures provides Spokane and Coeur d'Alene with many adventure opportunities, including the popular rafting trips.

There are plenty of golf courses to choose from for golf enthusiasts. Starting at The Highlands Golf Course in Post Falls, to Esmerelda Municipal Golf Course, Downriver Golf Course, and Indian Canyon Golf Course.

Located in downtown Spokane, the Spokane River flows along Riverfront Park, the most popular park in Spokane. This park is home to many attractions and events like the famous Red Wagon, an IMAX Theatre, the popular Looff Carousel, Spokane Falls Skyride, the Pavilion Amusement Rides, concerts in the park, and much more.
