Hayden Lake is the second largest lake in Kootenai County. Forested hills surround this 4000 acre lake and the views are breathtaking.
Hayden Lake is a quality habitat for fish such as Bass, Crappie, Perch and many others.
It is also suitable for boat traffic, making recreation a principal use of the lake. Approx. 3,000 power boats and 750 sailboats use Hayden Lake.
North of Coeur d’Alene on Highway 95, it was once home to Bing Crosby.
Honeysuckle is one main attraction site with its sandy beach, roped off swim area, dock, public changing rooms and public restrooms.
Fishing and water sports are most common on this peaceful lake.
Nearby are PGA-rated Hayden Lake Country Club and Avondale Golf Club, which is open for public play.
It’s also just a short drive away from Coeur d'Alene and Spokane.
